Our 3 Gifts from God

Children are definitely a gift from the Lord, and ours are no exception. Avery is 4 and is quite the drama queen. She loves acting and singing, and like her mother, her emotions are either REALLY up or REALLY down. Yesterday, she faked being sick at Mother's Morning Out. I had to go pick her up, at which point I made her go home and get in the bed. I told her to only get up if she was well. It took her 5 minutes to feel better (imagine that!). She was quite disappointed when I ended up making her go BACK to school. Yes, I wasted alot of gas money doing so, but the lesson she learned was hopefully worth it! Brynn, our 2 year old is such an independant, free spirited, curious child. She is commonly found writing on walls, playing in potties, stripping down naked in public places, coloring herself with markers, and generally just making messes all over the place. She wants to do everything by herself! She's the comedian of the family and usually keeps us in stitches. Asa, my little 10 month old charmer, is all love and kisses. He has a smile that will brighten up anyone's worst day. I am afraid that he is also curious like his sister, Brynn because I've caught him dumping out trashcans or pulling stuff out of drawers. He's just starting to attempt standing by himself, and I guess he'll be toddling around pretty soon.

As a mother, so much of my life revolves around these three precious children, so I'm sure that alot of my posts will be about things that happen to/with them. I hope the stories will make you smile as much as they do me!

The Madness Begins!

OK, I can't believe I am actually starting a blog. I have had several friends (thank you Tosha, Lanier and Carmen) who have inspired me to start, and I finally took the plunge. I don't know that I have anything interesting to share, but I love to tell stories. I love writing about everyday events in my life, and up until now, I have done so in journals. I guess blogging is just journaling for the technologically minded. I am doing this mainly for myself, as a way to preserve the little moments that happen to me everyday that I might not otherwise write about. I hope that as I share this blog with family and friends that perhaps you might be encouraged, challenged, or just made to laugh a little! So...the madness begins...
